Participation in national innovation programs, science ministry grants, and technology transfer initiatives have ensured
that IBISS remains connected with both fundamental and applied research streams at the national level.
IBISS is recognized for its exceptional track record in European and global consortia, participating in or leading projects
funded by Horizon 2020, COST Actions, FP7, the World Bank, SCOPES, and bilateral agreements (including with partners
in China, the EU, the USA, and the Balkans).
Notable international collaborations include:
• STRIMHealth Consortium (metabolic disease, with partners in Europe, funded by Horizon Europe)
• CHIC Project (biological activities of compounds, cytotoxic studies, plant transformation, in partnership with EU
labs, funded by Horizon 2020)
• Joint Danube Survey (JDS5): An environmental health monitoring initiative involving 14 countries
• PANDA (Pan-Balkan Alliance of Natural Products and Drug Discovery Associations)
• Joint Chinese-Serbian Laboratory of Shanghai Institute Materia Medica (SIMM) and IBISS, facilitating drug
discovery and high-level knowledge exchange
