Dr Milica Kosić je naučni saradnik na Institutu za mikrobiologiju i imunologiju Medicinskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu. Tokom svoje naučnoistraživačke karijere učestvovala je na projektima: „Uloga autofagije u regulaciji smrti tumorskih ćelija“, „Uloga autofagije u imunskoj disregulaciji prouzrokovanoj SARS-CoV-2 infekcijom“, „Imunomodulatorna uloga signalnih puteva koji regulišu intracelularni energetski balans i autofagiju“, „Kombinovano targetovanje lizozomske stabilnosti i energetskog metabolizma kao novog pristupa u lečenju melanoma“. Fondacija „Stanka Romac“ (FOSTAR) nagradila je doktorsku disertaciju dr Milice Kosić kao najbolju doktorsku tezu iz oblasti humane molekularne genetike i biomedicine tokom 2021–2022. godine. Njena istraživanja fokusirana su na autofagiju, energetski metabolizam, mehanizme smrti tumorskih ćelija, sa posebnim akcentom na razvoj novih terapijskih strategija u onkologiji.
Dr Mihajlo Bošnjak, molekularni biolog, je naučni saradnik na Institutu za mikrobiologiju i imunologiju Medicinskog fakulteta u Beogradu i bavi se istraživanjem u oblasti ćelijske biologije i biologije tumora sa posebnim osvrtom na razvoj inovativnih pristupa u terapiji tumora in vitro. Tokom karijere je bio angažovan na više projekata: „Modulacija signalnih puteva koji kontrolišu intracelularni energetski balans u terapiji tumora i neuroimuno-endokrinih poremećaja“, ,,Uloga autofagije u imunskoj disregulaciji prouzrokovanoj SARS-CoV-2 infekcijom“, „Kombinovano targetovanje lizozomske stabilnosti i energetskog metabolizma kao novog pristupa u lečenju melanoma“. Dvostruki je dobitnik nagrade „ Veselin Lučić“ za najbolje naučno ostvarenje objavljeno u 2022. i 2023. godini koju je dodelio Univerzitet u Beogradu i Zadužbina Veselina Lučića.
Dr Milica Kosić is a Research Associate at the Institute of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. During her scientific career, she has participated in several research projects, including: “The role of autophagy in the regulation of tumor cell death”, “Targeting Autophagy to Combat SARS-CoV2-induced Immune Dysregulation”, “The immunomodulatory role of signaling pathways that regulate intracellular energy balance and autophagy”, and “Dual targeting of lysosomal stability and energy metabolism as a novel antimelanoma strategy”. The “Stanka Romac” Foundation (FOSTAR) awarded Dr Milica Kosić’s doctoral dissertation as the best PhD thesis in the field of human molecular genetics and biomedicine for the period 2021–2022. Her research focuses on autophagy, energy metabolism, and mechanisms of tumor cell death, with a particular emphasis on the development of novel therapeutic strategies in oncology.
Dr Mihajlo Bošnjak, molecular biologist, is a Research Associate at the Institute of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. His research focuses on cell biology and tumor biology, with particular emphasis on the development of innovative in vitro approaches for cancer therapy. During his career, he has been engaged in several projects, including: “Modulation of signaling pathways controlling intracellular energy balance in the therapy of tumors and neuroimmunoendocrine disorders,” “The role of autophagy in immune dysregulation caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection,” and “Combined targeting of lysosomal stability and energy metabolism as a novel approach in melanoma treatment.” He is a two-time recipient of the “Veselin Lučić” Award for the best scientific achievement published in 2022 and 2023, awarded by the University of Belgrade and the Veselin Lučić Endowment.

2. Dunja Pavlović, Institut za molekularnu genetiku i genetičko inženjerstvo, Univerzitet u Beogradu

Dunja Pavlović je studentkinja doktorskih akademskih studija na Biološkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu, na modulu Genetika. Zaposlena je u zvanju istraživača saradnika u Grupi za gensku regulaciju u tumorima pri Institutu za molekularnu genetiku i genetičko inženjerstvo (IMGGI). Njena naučna interesovanja obuhvataju istraživanje biomarkera i funkcionalne uloge RNK molekula u tumorima, kao i primenu bioinformatike i eksperimentalnog modelovanja u proučavanju bolesti. Aktivno učestvuje u promociji nauke kroz manifestacije kao što su Festival nauke i Noć istraživača, kao i kroz angažman u marketing timu IMGGI. Trenutno je angažovana na projektu LiveRNA, koji se realizuje uz podršku Fonda za nauku Republike Srbije.
Dunja Pavlović is PhD student at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, enrolled in the Genetics module. She is employed as a Research Assistant in the Group for Gene Regulation in Tumors at the Institute for Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE). Her research interests include the study of biomarkers and the functional roles of RNA molecules in tumors, as well as the application of bioinformatics and experimental disease modeling. She is involved in science communication through various events as well as through her engagement in the IMGGE marketing team. She is currently involved in the LiveRNA project, funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
