The Nobel Zira Hotel is situated in the wider city center of Belgrade, along Ruzveltova Street (Roosevelt Street). This street dates back to 1937 and was officially named in 1946. Ruzveltova Street connects two significant locations in Belgrade: the Vuk Monument area and the New Cemetery.
The Vuk Monument honors Vuk Karadžić, a significant 19th-century Serbian linguist,and is near several faculties of the University of Belgrade, the University Library, Tašmajdan Park, and the Church of St. Mark.
The New Cemetery, founded in 1886, has notable historical and cultural significance and contains military cemeteries for participants of various wars, including those from Serbia, as well as France, Russia, Italy, Germany, and others. Across it lies the Cemetery of the Liberators of Belgrade from 1944, where soldiers of the National Liberation Army of Yugoslavia and the Red Army are buried.
